Marc Beer Raises Millions for Startup In Women’s Health

Recently, Marc Beer took it upon himself to raise more than $40 million for a new startup called Renovia Inc. The company is going to specialize in offering products for women who are suffering from different pelvic floor issues.


The company is going to be based out of Boston and is a medtech company working on a variety of projects to help diagnose and treat issues such as urinary incontinence in women. The products created will help to diagnose and treat women’s health issues in a therapeutic manner. Through research conducted by the company, it has been found there are more than 250 million women around the world who suffer from these issues.




The first product that Renovia created is Leva. It just recently received approval from the FDA in April this year. The company was initially invested in by The Longwood Fund. This company is an investing firm that focuses on helping startups in the healthcare field. The funding they offer the company will go towards testing more products and developing diagnostic tools.

He feels their contributions to the company are going to help further their digital platforms and help give customers valuable information about diagnosing their issues and finding treatment options available to them.

Marc Beer brings a lot to the table with his years of experience. He has over 25 years in commercialization and development experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, diagnostics and medical devices. His recent venture is as the co-founder of Renovia. He started the company with Yolanda Lorie and Ramon Iglesias in August 2016. After founding the company, the went on the successfully close Series A financing with a leading investment firm that specializes in healthcare startups.


Beer is also the Founding Chairman for Good Start Genetics, Minerva Neurosciences and a member of the advisory council for Miami University Business school. Marc earned his Bachelor’s of Science from Miami University in Ohio. He has also served as a consultant for OvaScience.¬†Learn more :¬†
